Recap: Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS vs. Central Christian Crusaders
This season hasn't been kind to the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a serious blow against Central Christian on Thursday, falling 50-18. Trinity Christian School of Griffin has struggled against Central Christian recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Trinity Christian School of Griffin still got an impressive performance from Molly Massengale, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds. Massengale is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Even though they lost, Trinity Christian School of Griffin were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Christian only pulled down 20.
Central Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Passow, who scored 9 points along with 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Schneider, who scored 10 points along with 9 steals and 6 rebounds.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Central Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian School of Griffin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lafayette Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Lafayette Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. Central Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Konos Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
