            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask St. Paul). They were the clear victor by  a  16-1 margin over the Oxford Academy Patriots on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Swordsmen considering their one-run performance the  match before.
 Troy Sibolboro was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other pitching news,  Taylor Sundstrom looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the fewest  hits  he has allowed since back in April of 2024.
 Back at the plate, St. Paul got a  massive  performance out of  Elias Mota, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Fernado Moreno, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3.

 St. Paul  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .585. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.
St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Oxford Academy,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul will welcome Paraclete  at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Oxford Academy, they will be playing at home against Century  at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Oxford Academy has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
