Volleyball Recap: Dexter Bearcats vs. Sikeston Bulldogs

Dexter won the last time they faced Sikeston and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bearcats came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 17-25, 25-7, 25-16.

Klaire Essner paced Dexter's offense, picking up nine kills. Essner got some help from Brooklyn Goodman and her 15 assists. Essner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sidney Booker, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Sikeston saw an underclassman step up: freshman Londyn Mitchell had 30 digs and two aces. Those 30 digs set a new season-high mark for Mitchell. Another player making a difference was Bailey Null, who had ten digs.
