Basketball Game Preview: Northbridge Rams vs. Sutton Sammies

The Northbridge Rams will head out to take on the Sutton Sammies at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northbridge's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

On Wednesday, Northbridge blew past Douglas, posting a 75-29 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Tigers are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sutton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Whitinsville Christian by a score of 51-40 on Wednesday.

Northbridge pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.3 points. As for Sutton, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Northbridge didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sutton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 43-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northbridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
