Volleyball Recap: Midlothian Heritage Comes Up Short

Midlothian Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Second Baptist Eagles. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Claire Moody paced Midlothian Heritage's offense, picking up 12 kills. Moody got some help from Bostyn Guinn and her 13 assists. Finally, Sydney Nelms kept Midlothian Heritage's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Midlothian Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Second Baptist, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Midlothian Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Centennial on the 19th. As for Second Baptist, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Kinkaid on the 16th.
