Basketball Recap: Dr. Joaquin Garcia Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Dr. Joaquin Garcia won the last time they faced FAU High, and Abby Quinn did her part to make sure it happened again. The Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs blew past the FAU High Owls 55-7 on Wednesday thanks in part to Quinn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Dr. Joaquin Garcia's points.

Leah Donovan was another key player, putting up six points. Those six points gave her a new career-high.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for FAU High, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
