Basketball Recap: Foran Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Foran won the last time they faced Xavier and things went their way on Friday too. The Foran Lions took down the Xavier Falcons 62-44. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Falcons are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Foran has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Xavier, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foran will venture away from home to face off against Shelton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Xavier, they will head out on the road to square off against East Hartford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
