Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Scott

Scott won against Boone County on Monday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Highlands Bluebirds by a score of 12-9. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Zane Murphy looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Scott got a massive performance out of Trey Cook, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs Cook has posted since back in March. Larken Getz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Scott kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests.

Scott's record is now 9-7. As for Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Scott has already played their next game, a 9-3 win against Lloyd Memorial on the 15th. As for Highlands, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 23-1 victory against Dayton on the 16th.
