Basketball Game Preview: Custer County Bobcats vs. Holyoke Dragons

The Custer County Bobcats will face off against the Holyoke Dragons on Friday. Holyoke took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Custer County, who comes in off a win.

Custer County was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Centennial on Saturday. Custer County simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Centennial 59-25. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Holyoke was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 48-44 to Limon. The Dragons have struggled against the Badgers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Custer County will have to contain Reid Sprague as he made an impact in Holyoke's last game. He almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 52.3% of Holyoke's points, marking the fourth time in a row Sprague has posted more than a third of the team's points. Mason Sprague was another key player, putting up eight points.

Custer County's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Holyoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
