Softball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Meridian's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Lynden Christian Lyncs on Thursday. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Lynden Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Meridian will head out to challenge Nooksack Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lynden Christian, they will take on Oak Harbor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lyncs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
