Baseball Game Preview: Lehighton Indians vs. Moravian Academy Lions

The Lehighton Indians will face off against the Moravian Academy Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Lehighton nor Moravian Academy posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Lehighton's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tamaqua on Friday. The loss was the Indians' first of the season.

Lehighton got a good showing from Brady Stubits, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Stubits has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Moravian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Palisades.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lehighton fell to 7-1. As for Moravian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
