Basketball Recap: Mike Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Champion over Southeast

Champion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Southeast Pirates, falling 59-38. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Flashes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-31 back in December of 2024.

Champion's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Miller, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Braylen Braham, who had nine points and seven rebounds.

Champion's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Southeast, they moved to 9-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Champion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-55 defeat against Windham on the 30th. Southeast has also already played their next contest (against Brookfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
