Basketball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They lost 76-50 to the Jefferson Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-54 back in January.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Jefferson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

Looking ahead, Whitewater will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitewater will be up against Lakeside Lutheran's rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.27 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
