Basketball Recap: Dickinson Gators vs. Clear Creek Wildcats
The Dickinson Gators came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Clear Creek by a score of 54-45. That's another feather in the cap for Dickinson, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Dickinson was led to victory by David Chong and Diego Sanchez. Chong scored 14 points along with five assists and four steals, while Sanchez scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanchez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Scoby, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Dickinson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-17 record this season. As for Clear Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-14.
Dickinson will head out on the road to take on the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clear Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Clear Falls is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses.
