Soccer Recap: Ketchikan Falls Short Against Ranked Soldotna

Ketchikan faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Kings fell just short of the Stars by a score of 2-1. Ketchikan haven't had much luck with Soldotna recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ketchikan's goal came courtesy of Chelsey Weber, who's now up to three this season.

Ketchikan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Soldotna, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Stars beat Ketchikan by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
