Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nichols Vikings on Thursday. The Marauders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giorgio Panepinto, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Nichols, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute will square off against Kennedy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Marauders will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Nichols, they will challenge Depew at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
