Basketball Recap: Leggett Comes Up Short

Leggett lost against Brookeland back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leggett Pirates took a blow against the Brookeland Wildcats, falling 80-30. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1116th, while the Wildcats are ranked 284th).

Leggett's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Brookeland, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Leggett will take on Hull-Daisetta in a tournament on Thursday. Hull-Daisetta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Brookeland, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Brookeland Wildcats face off against the West Sabine Tigers on Thursday.
