Basketball Recap: Kettering Comes Up Short

Kettering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 80-45 loss at the hands of the Athens Red Hawks. The Captains were down 56-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Kettering still got an impressive performance from Nathan Bisnett, who posted 14 points. That's the most points Bisnett has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Hamel, who put up eight points.

Kettering's record now sits at 1-8. As for Athens, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kettering will challenge Churchill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Athens, they will face off against Seaholm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
