Homewood-Flossmoor waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 76-60 win over the Sandburg Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 91-31 on January 7th.

Homewood-Flossmoor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brent Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Taylor a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Tyler, who posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Homewood-Flossmoor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. They are a perfect 6-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Homewood-Flossmoor's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points per game. As for Sandburg, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Homewood-Flossmoor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-61 win against DePaul College Prep on the 25th. As for Sandburg, they will welcome Lincoln-Way East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lincoln-Way East likes a good challenge.
