College Prep & Leadership Academy won the last time they faced Cornerstone Charter and things went their way on Friday too. The College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals put the hurt on the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals with a sharp 74-51 victory. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Robert Knotts III led the charge by going 8 for 12 en route to 18 points. What's more, Knotts III also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marlon Carson, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and five steals.

Cornerstone Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Smith, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Lake Bristol was another key player, putting up 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

College Prep & Leadership Academy pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Cornerstone Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Coming up, College Prep & Leadership Academy will face off against Bishop McGuinness at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop McGuinness will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something College Prep & Leadership Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will challenge Winston-Salem Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
