On Tuesday Carson Renfro struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. The performance marked the most strikeouts Renfro has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with more than five strikeouts. On the year, he has an ERA of .91 over 23 innings pitched.

Renfro's strong effort led Grenada over Olive Branch and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers are 8-2 against the Conquistadors going back to April of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
