Volleyball Recap: Chugiak Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with South Anchorage + How To Watch

Chugiak faced South Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs came up short against the Wolverines, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.

Elise Kelley paced Chugiak's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kelley got some help from Avery Wilson and her 30 assists.

Chugiak's defeat dropped their record down to 31-14-1. As for South Anchorage, they are on a roll lately: they've won 29 of their last 30 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Chugiak and South Anchorage will both be playing Dimond the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
