Volleyball Recap: Chugiak Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with South Anchorage + How To Watch

Chugiak faced South Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs came up short against the Wolverines, falling 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Elise Kelley paced Chugiak's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kelley got some help from Avery Wilson and her 30 assists.

Chugiak's loss dropped their record down to 31-14-1. As for South Anchorage, they are on a roll lately: they've won 29 of their last 30 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Chugiak and South Anchorage will both be playing Dimond the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
