Preview: Lafayette vs. P.K. Yonge

P.K. Yonge have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Lafayette at 7:30 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep their three-game winning streak alive.

Two weeks ago, P.K. Yonge put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Bell to the tune of 49-0. No one put up better numbers for P.K. Yonge than senior Carter Kutchko, who brought his A game into the match. He passed for 237 yards and 3 touchdowns. Kutchko has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.

Meanwhile, Lafayette ran circles around Bell last Friday, and the extra yardage (439 yards vs. 124.1 yards) paid off. Lafayette were fully in charge, breezing past Bell 41-0. Lafayette were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

P.K. Yonge have to be hurting after a devastating 26-49 loss at the hands of Lafayette the last time the two teams met. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
