Softball Recap: Lake Howell Silverhawks vs. Winter Springs Bears
Lake Howell took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Winter Springs, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Silverhawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Bears on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Silverhawks: when they faced off against the Bears back in March, they had to take a 8-1 defeat.
Rhianna Hudson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
