Soccer Game Preview: East Limestone vs. Tanner

The East Limestone Indians will square off against the Tanner Rattlers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with East Limestone sitting on seven straight victories and Tanner on nine.

East Limestone's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Elkmont. East Limestone's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matchups.

Gaven Serrano and Davis Cavnar scored both of East Limestone's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Tanner sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Clements on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Tanner's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Clements are ranked 161st).

East Limestone's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Tanner, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

East Limestone might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Tanner in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
