Recap: Reagan Rattlers vs. Lee Volunteers

The Reagan Rattlers came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Lee with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but Reagan was the better team in the second half.

It was another big night for Aidan Richard, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games he's played. Matt Velasquez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Reagan's win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Lee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reagan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Madison at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Madison is ranked 178th, while Reagan is ranked 173rd). As for Lee, they will head out on the road to square off against Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Marshall focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Wednesday.
