Volleyball Game Preview: JW North Huskies vs. Hillcrest Trojans

The JW North Huskies will venture away from home to square off against the Hillcrest Trojans at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times JW North and Vista del Lago had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. JW North took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista del Lago on Tuesday. Huskies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Ravens since on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest beat Rancho Verde 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

The win didn't come easy: Rancho Verde scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for JW North, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.

JW North came up short against Hillcrest when the teams last played back in March of 2022, falling 2-0. Can JW North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
