St. Henry is a perfect 10-0 against Beechwood since August of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Crusaders will face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

St. Henry is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Ursuline Academy, who was ranked tenth in their home state at the time (St. Henry was ranked ninth). The Crusaders fell 3-1 to the Lions on Tuesday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

St. Henry started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 25-15, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Beechwood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over North Oldham on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Beechwood's win bumped their record up to 29-3. As for St. Henry, their loss dropped their record down to 19-12.

St. Henry skirted past Beechwood 2-1 when the teams last played back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
