Volleyball Recap: West Stokes Takes a Loss

West Stokes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the North Surry Greyhounds, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss last Tuesday.

North Surry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julie Anna Lawson led the charge by getting eight digs.

West Stokes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for North Surry, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6.

West Stokes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bandys on the 18th. As for North Surry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Forbush on the 14th.
