Preview: Creede Miners vs. Center Vikings
The Creede Miners will take on the Center Vikings at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Creede had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 61-44 fall against La Veta. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Creede in their matchups with La Veta: they've now lost four in a row.
Will Roden put forth a good effort for the losing side as he shot 5-for-13 from deep and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Fazio, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Center had to suffer through a rough 71-10 loss at the hands of Salida. Center was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-5.
