Recap: Rice Bulldogs vs. Teague Lions
The Rice Bulldogs lost against the Teague Lions back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The game between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Rice falling 59-42. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Teague to victory were Jkybryen Harris and Jehmel Rice. Harris scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Rice dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Harris continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tylin Randle was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Teague, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
Rice will head out on the road to face off against Eustace at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eustace is on a three-game streak of home losses, Rice a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Teague won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Italy at 3:00 p.m. on December 28, 2023.
