Football Game Preview: University Charter Trail Blazers vs. Hatch Bobcats

The University Charter Trail Blazers are taking a road trip to challenge the Hatch Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. University Charter is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

University Charter's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Marengo, posting a 48-0 victory. The Trail Blazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

University Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Khristian Jones out in front who rushed for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. Jones' longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Jaron Jackson, who rushed for 81 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries.

University Charter's run defense was locked in: Marengo could only muster 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Josiah Dubose for the heroic effort on defense: he. University Charter didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.5.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hatch's offense. They lost 23-0 to Greensboro on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bobcats were not able to get on the board.

University Charter's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hatch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
