Volleyball Recap: York Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only York walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lyons Lions by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Dukes have beaten the Lions on their court since April 12, 2022.

Hunter Stepanich paced York's offense, picking up 16 kills. Stepanich got some help from Brady Stephens and his 13 assists. Stepanich was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

The win (which was York's third in a row) raised their record to 21-12. As for Lyons, their loss dropped their record down to 22-16.

Looking ahead, York will square off against Oak Park-River Forest at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
