Softball Recap: Santana Sultans vs. Valhalla Norsemen
Santana came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Valhalla Norsemen 11-1. The victory was just what Santana needed coming off of a 6-0 loss in their prior game.
Aurelia Dawson looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Santana let Sara Spry and Ashlyn Darrow loose on the outfield. Spry scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Darrow scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Ryan, who scored a run.
On Valhalla's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Marco, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
