Recap: Windsor Academy Knights vs. Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS
The Windsor Academy Knights fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Trinity Christian School of Griffin on Thursday and snuck past 33-30. This was payback for Windsor Academy, who suffered a 49-5 loss the last time these two teams met.
Windsor Academy found their leader in underclassman Audrey Dobson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dobson has scored at least 25% of Windsor Academy's points.
Windsor Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tattnall Square Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Trinity Christian School of Griffin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Flint River Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Hopefully Flint River Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Thursday.
