Softball Recap: Canyon Comes Up Short

Canyon was the 4-0 winner over Steele when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Canyon Cougars fell just short of the Steele Knights by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Steele, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Canyon will face off against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so San Marcos' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Steele, they will be playing at home against Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
