Baseball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty lost against Discovery Canyon back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lancers came up short against the Thunder, falling 11-4. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty got a good showing from Max Bauer, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Bauer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, David Kempf made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Liberty's record now sits at 7-11. As for Discovery Canyon, their record is now 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will face off against Vista Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Discovery Canyon, they will take on The Classical Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Thunder's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 13.5 runs per game this season.
