Volleyball Recap: Roxboro Community Gets the Win

While Roxboro Community's victory against NCSSM: Durham wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Unicorns on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since October 4, 2024.

Roxboro Community was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-10.

The win got Roxboro Community back to even at 1-1. As for NCSSM: Durham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Roxboro Community is set to face off against their familiar foe Neuse Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, NCSSM: Durham will square off against rival Voyager Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
