Soccer Recap: Newcastle Takes a Loss

Newcastle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rawlins Outlaws. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Newcastle couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Tealah Stevenson, who's now up to three this season.

Newcastle's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Rawlins, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Newcastle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rawlins, they will welcome Douglas at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Douglas will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Rawlins surely won't give up without a fight.
