Volleyball Recap: Hobgood Charter Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hobgood Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Bear Grass Charter Bears, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Hobgood Charter ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Kinsey Peel paced Hobgood Charter's offense, picking up 11 kills. Peel got some help from Emma Rae Cannon and her 12 assists.

Hobgood Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Bear Grass Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Hobgood Charter will be playing at home against Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bear Grass Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Perquimans on the 19th.
