After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Providence, Butler was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Mecklenburg Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Natalie Pfeiffer was the driving force of Butler's attack as she scored both of Butler's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Butler's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for East Mecklenburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1.

Butler has already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against Central Cabarrus on the 7th. As for East Mecklenburg, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Charlotte Catholic on the 8th.
