Volleyball Recap: Chadwick Comes Up Short

The Chadwick Dolphins didn't have quite enough to beat the Sage Hill Lightning on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Chadwick took Sage Hill into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-29, 25-17, 25-19, 15-25, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Chadwick saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bryce Cordova had 20 digs and two aces. Cordova has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Chadwick dropped their record down to 18-18 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Sage Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

Chadwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sage Hill, they will head out to take on South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
