Softball Game Preview: South Fayette Lions vs. West Allegheny Indians

The South Fayette Lions will challenge the West Allegheny Indians at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. South Fayette will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

South Fayette gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over Montour. Considering the Lions have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, West Allegheny sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Upper St. Clair on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

South Fayette's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for West Allegheny, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
