Softball Recap: Marsing Find Success

While Marsing's win against Melba wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Mustangs on Friday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Brooklyn Roadenbaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taylor Callison, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Heredia, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Marsing's record is now 12-9. As for Melba, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Marsing does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Melba, they will face off against Glenns Ferry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
