Monte Vista dropped their record down to 8-18 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 11-2 to the Santana Sultans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Monarchs have suffered since April 16th.

Monte Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Orlando Rupley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Damian Ordaz, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

As for Santana, the victory got them back to even at 13-13. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the match before.

On Santana's side, Michael Morrison and Gavin Kelly did most of the damage at the plate: Morrison went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Kelly got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits Morrison has posted since back in April. Dominic Tavolazzi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

While Monte Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
