Soccer Game Preview: Hickory Ridge vs. Lake Norman

The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls will face off against the Lake Norman Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory Ridge will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Thursday, Hickory Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Lake Norman Charter, taking the game 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Hickory Ridge's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Lake Norman Charter are ranked 82nd).

Ava Trzebiatowski and Leah Edwards scored all three of Hickory Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Lake Norman was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of Cox Mill by a score of 2-1. The loss was Lake Norman's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Norman fell to 8-1. As for Hickory Ridge, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
