Baseball Recap: Liberty's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Liberty entered their tilt with Independence on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Falcons. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-0 win last Wednesday.

Liberty let Braden Turman and Aden Manning run wild. Turman went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Manning scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four RBI gave Turman a new career-high. Gage Ursery was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Liberty's record now sits at 7-5. As for Independence, they dropped their record down to 7-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 5-2 victory against Frontier on the 7th. As for Independence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-4 loss against Ridgeview on the 7th.
