Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Michael Benedictine). They were the clear victor by a 69-48 margin over the Waverly Vikings on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Waverly's loss came despite strong showings from Brady Schieffer and Isaac Clarke. Schieffer went 5 for 12 on his way to 15 points and eight boards, while Clarke went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and five rebounds. Those 15 points gave Schieffer a new career-high. Crew Verkamp also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Mount Michael Benedictine now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Waverly, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Michael Benedictine will welcome Boys Town at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waverly, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bennington at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
