Olentangy has no trouble against Miamisburg

Recap: Olentangy Braves vs. Miamisburg Vikings

With a playoff game on the line, the Olentangy Braves rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-21 win over Miamisburg. The win was nothing new for Olentangy as they're now sitting on six straight.

Olentangy had a senior duo take command as Ethan Grunkemeyer threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns and Riley Clarkson rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Clarkson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Gavin Grover got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Miamisburg still got an impressive performance from Keith Henry, who rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Smith, who gained 94 total yards and a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Miamisburg's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Olentangy's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by Kevin Mckinney and Peyton Hoskins who racked up four sacks between them.

Olentangy has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 11-2 record. As for Miamisburg, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Olentangy will stay at home for another week and welcome Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Springfield is ranked 28th, while Olentangy is ranked 30th). Miamisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
